THE SOLUTION

CASE 02: WAIT...

The solution to WAIT... is not located in a single place. It emerges from information visible within the three MOVES and connects across different levels of perception.

EX + IT = EXIT

In MOVE I, the Morse code reveals the letters EX. On a second perceptual level, IT is present. Both pieces of information belong to the same artwork. EX + IT = EXIT. MOVE I therefore already contains the complete information. It exists across two different perceptual levels and must be connected by the viewer. In MOVE III, this structure is reversed. The Morse code reveals IT. On a second perceptual level, E and X appear. EXIT is therefore complete here as well, but the information is arranged in reverse: IT + EX. The viewer must leave the visible order behind and reconnect the information: EX + IT = EXIT.

But the connection exists on another level as well. MOVE I provides EX. MOVE III provides IT. What can already be constructed within the individual works can therefore also be reconstructed across two autonomous artworks. The viewer remembers. The viewer connects. EXIT.

I WITHIN OPPORTUNITIES

MOVE II changes the meaning of this discovery. The word OPPORTUNITIES is complete. Within this field of letters, there is an additional I. And it has a meaning of its own. I = the self. The I is not outside the opportunities. It is inside them. I am inside the opportunities.

This gives the previously reconstructed information EXIT a subject. EXIT is no longer merely a word that has been decoded. It concerns the person who decodes it. The viewer is positioned within the opportunities and recognizes an exit within this field of meaning.

THE CONNECTION

The mirrors also change the position of the viewer. The mirror does not complete the Morse code. The mirror is the Morse sign. While examining the code, the viewer's own reflection can appear within the very signs they are trying to decode. The viewer sees themselves within the code. Finds the I within OPPORTUNITIES. And constructs EXIT. Perception, memory, self-positioning and reconstruction begin to connect.

DAY AND NIGHT

At night, the hierarchy of information changes as well. In MOVE I and MOVE III, the previously charged photoluminescent surface continues to glow while the Morse signs themselves remain dark and become visible through contrast. The coded information emerges negatively. In MOVE II, the opposite occurs. The linguistic information itself becomes photoluminescent and visible. The information emerges positively. Two opposing light mechanisms therefore reveal, within the same CASE, the information that is essential to the mental connection.

The material does more than change the appearance of the works. The material organizes cognition.

THE SOLUTION

EXIT is there.
OPPORTUNITIES are there.
And within them is the I.

The viewer searches for a connection and ultimately becomes part of that connection.

I am inside the opportunities.
And the exit concerns me.
